Fire Sentry is a world leader with a range of Electro-Optical Fire Detection Technology, which has been designed, developed, and manufactured based on sophisticated missile detection systems.

Fire Sentry's electro-optical digital fire detectors are sophisticated devices that sense the optical radiant energy emitted by fires. Optical fire detectors respond much faster than heat detectors since a fire's radiant energy travels at the speed of light. This explains why optical fire detectors are capable of operating at a longer distance and many times faster than heat detectors that use air convection and material conduction. The high speed of response is critical for detecting fires in time to successfully suppress a fire. Seconds can make the difference in successfully suppressing a small fire with little or no damage to having a disastrous fire that no suppression system can handle.

The Fire Sentry FS20X is the latest generation high technology Multi-Spectrum (UV/Dual IR/VIS) fire and flame detector, which is part of the FSX™ family of advanced technology electro-optical flame detectors. Based on the foundation of the reliable Fire Sentry SS4 detector, the Fire Sentry FS20X detector integrates infrared and ultraviolet sensing technologies. It is a Multi-Spectrum and UV/Dual IR/VIS fire and flame detector with a proven UV solar-blind sensor. The Fire Sentry FS20X exhibits faster false-alarm free response to fires over a wider temperature range and with a much longer detection range compared to conventional UV/IR detectors.

FireSentry SS4-A

The Fire Sentry SS4-A represents the world’s pre-eminent UV/IR technology for electro-optical flame detectors with tens of thousands successfully operating in a multitude of installations worldwide. This multi-spectrum detector senses radiant energy in the ultraviolet (UV), visible and Wide Band Infrared™ (IR) spectrum. The radiant energy from all types of flaming fires will alert the detector to their presence.

Fire Sentry SS4-AUV

The Fire Sentry SS4-AUV represents the leading edge technology UV optical flame detectors. This flame detector senses radiant energy in the ultraviolet (UV) spectrum. The radiant emissions of flaming fires will alert the detector to their presence.

Fire Sentry SS4-AS

The Fire Sentry SS4-AS processes UV, IR and Visible (Vis) spectral ranges from rugged solar-blind UV, quantum-effect IR and VIS sensors correspondingly. It is optimized for detection of hydrogen, ethanol, methanol and methane (natural gas) fires and like the other detectors in its family, it responds to Type A, B and C flaming fires.
